Why A Career in Residential Service?

Residential Service companies are usually small- to mid-sized companies that provide service inside the customers home, fixing electrical problems, furnaces or air conditioners and plumbing. These careers are professional and lucrative. Many residential service companies are family run, with excellent work environments and generous benefits. The career opportunities in this industry are plentiful and work can be found in every community nation-wide. Residential service salaries can be excellent, averaging around $50,000 but can reach six figures for a skilled technician who has excellent customer service skills. Intent of the Scholarship Program

The intent of the scholarship program is to bring talent into, and enhance and train existing talent, in the industries of plumbing, hvac_scholarshipHVAC, and electric. A variety of scholarships are available at all levels of the industry, including scholarships for individuals who are planning to run or work in management at a businesses in this industry, individuals who are working on their technical degrees and special training opportunities for veterans.

We have several different scholarship applications that are open at different times of the year. Scholarships are available to qualified individuals interested in entering, or currently working in, the plumbing, HVACR and/or electrical fields. Students must be legal residents or a citizen of the USA, Canada, Australia or the Cayman Islands.

Since 2006, the foundation has given away scholarships totaling $150,000.
